1.  Danny will never take back DeAndre Jordan at the money he's making.  If it were to happen, it would be a three team trade.

2.  If KG goes to the Clippers and retires at the end of the year, all that money, plus a bunch of other money comes off the books...  Could Dwight Howard go to the Clippers in free agency? (Just an idea)

3.  There would need to be a solid Pierce trade lined up, and probably to a contender - good luck with that.

Jordan is a good young center, why wouldn't he take a contract for a position we've been trying to fill for a couple years?

Would LA have room to sign two max free agents?

Why would pierce have to go? Even he said its up the management on what to do.

1. Kg has a no trade clause, he might waive it if PP is traded and it is to LA. If DA wants to move KG he's got to move PP.

2. Why not DJ? Because he's just not all that good now and won't get much better, imo. Ymmv.

1.  Is DeAndre "no post-game" Jordan worth 11 million dollars?

2.  If KG were to retire at the end of the season, that would mean:

KG, billups, odom, turiaf, hollins, barnes, (and possibly grant hill if he decides to retire) come off the books - do you really think thats not enough to sign both dwight and chris paul - especially if both are willing to take less (like lebron, wade and bosh did) to compete with miami.

3.  KG has let it be known he will only consider a trade if paul pierce is traded first.

But if kg retires, does that cash really come off the books?

Didn't we still have cap space tied up on Shaw and Rasheed a year back, despite them both being retired?

Absolutely.  How are you going to get anyone better than Jordan at that price?  Suck long enough and hard enough to luck into the #1 pick when a franchise center is available?  Massively overpay an unproven talent and hope he becomes better than Jordan?  Kidnap Dwight Howard and brainwash him into coming to Boston for the vet minimum?

Is Jordan worth trading KG?  Even with Bledsoe thrown in?  Maybe not.  No one should fool themselves about how hard it is to get bigs as good as Jordan, though.

Completely agree with you on Jordan.  Like it or not, he's a solid 24 year old center making the same amount JaVele McGee is making......and DeAndre Jordan has done more in this league than McGee has.  If we decide to rebuild...getting a 23 year old Bledsoe and a 24 year old McGee is well worth it in my opinion.

If the Clips and Billups can sell KG on signing on, I don't see why he can't play at least this year and next, and possible finish out his contract.

If I'm the Clippers,  I'm going all in this year.  If they make the move for Garnett and make a strong push in the playoffs, CP3 is not going anywhere.  That team is now going to be a magnet for vetmin ring chasers and good players discounting their services by settling for the LLE or MLE to play in LA for a contender.

By trading for KG, you wipe a whole lot of past stench off your franchise.  Healthy, that team is going to be an extremely difficult playoff out in the West, and has the two pieces of Heat kryptonite - a mobile center who can play inside and out, and the best PG in the game. Considering that they're not going to be able to pay Bledsoe in two summers, and that DJ, although solid, doesn't have a ton of offensive upside, they'd have to think long and hard about making that deal if KG is on board.

For roughly $500k more next year, the Cs can have a center who is the 7th best of the 30 starting NBA in  NBA efficiency (Jordan's 26th) and 21st best defensive player in the NBA in points per possession allowed, (Jordan's 116th).  I can't find current defensive +/- ratings for players this year to measure each player's effect on team defense, but Jordan was 7th worse in last year's playoffs and this other player was the best (and we don't even have to trade for him).

4. How insufferably sulky rondo might be next year if his best buddy is traded.

He played ok after Perk got traded and by all accounts they were tight friends.  Smith from ATL is supposed to be close friends with RR.
