I know i can be negative at times but that's just me being honest. This thread is just me taking a break from the negativity while still being 100 percent honest and realistic. The celtics have the most important thing that is needed if you're going to win it all, championship caliber defense. As long as KG and AB are there to anchor it of course.

More times than not this celtics team is either going to be winning big or the game is going to be close going one way or the other. Even when the offense isn't clicking their defense keeps them in games. Not every contender can say that. As long as you can keep yourself in the game anything can happen in the closing mins. One shot or miss can be the deciding factor in a win or loss.

The celtics play the heat tougher than any other team in the league. Rondo or no rondo you can bet that will be the case once again this postseason. It will be a 6 or 7 game series with most of the games coming down to a few possessions.

Green defends lebron about as good as you could possibly hope. Nobody will stop lebron but we have a guy that is capable of slowing him down as much as lebron can be slowed down. Not to mention green has all the potential in the world to take over a game on any given night.

We have one of our most crucial pieces back that we didn't have last year to defend wade in avery bradley. He has already proven he is very much capable of slowing down and frustrating wade.

Jason the jet terry is a BiG time player in the big moments. He proved this during his run with dallas. He was one of the more important pieces of that team. Without him dallas doesn't win a championship that year. He will play big mins in the playoffs and I feel alot better knowing hes one of the guys I'm going to war with.

Brandon bass........um......... With Lee paired up with AB the celtics have one of the best if not the best defensive backcourt in the league. Lee has also proven he can come up BiG in the playoffs *Magic*.

And of course, pierce and KG. KG showed he still has plenty left in the tank and he is capable of turning back the clock when needed most. Pierce all tho can't be vintage pierce every night he has shown he can still be that guy in big moments. *Atlanta game 2, dagger over lebron in game 5*.

As long as these two guys are still here Ill never count the celtics out completely and you can bet the heat won't either. So in closing, do i still think the heat will be in the finals? Honestly, yes. Would I bet all my money on it against this celtics team? Oh hell no.

I'll hold out hope also with a different view as well. We did not have Ab, Lee, JET, Green, or Wilcox when we played the CHEAT last year. Hopefully all of them make a HUGE impact if we play them this year. Also, i sure hope DA can pick up a decent guard and another big.

If we can get the things you named Ill really feel better about this team. Problem is, who do you get? We don't really have people with value that we can trade without trading a big piece of the team.

Green jet lee, I think we need them all now that rondo is out. I still want to get delonte west. I know he comes with red flags but there really isn't a better option out there. I also hope we sign Kmart for that same reason. Vets would welcome him with open arms.
