Since I'm almost at my cap limit, i want to ask, if you're over, do you forfeit the rest of your picks?

If you go over, you're not allowed to make any more picks, and your team is deemed to have violated the rules of this game.

Teams have to:

1.  Stay within their cap limit;

2.  Have at least 12 players, and no more than 13 (non-overseas) players.  Teams with 12 players are assessed a $490k roster charge, which must be within their cap.

Any pick or trade that puts you over the cap will be voided.

Minnesota sends: David West, Tayshaun Prince, Jeff Teague

Indiana sends: Paul George, Lamar Odom, Kirk Hinrich

Confirmed.

Finally got the guy I've been bugging jgod about for so long lol

At only 22 years old and fresh off his first all star appearance I'm more than happy to add Paul George. Gives me a very nice building block and becomes the face of my franchise.

Hinrich was more than a throw in as he has been playing solid basketball as of late and provides an added vet presence. His most recent game he put up 10 points/10 assists/6 rebounds.

Odom has also been playing good basketball this season as he has awoke from his slumber party he had in Dallas and has been rebounding the basketball very well and playing solid defense. The clippers don't ask him to score much but he has become a mainstay of their bench.

Wow.  Just looking over the players picked last round, I am absolutely shocked that Andris Biedrins got selected.

For financial reasons.

Still, I think I would have grabbed a couple $5 million players over him.  He's turned into perhaps the biggest stiff in the NBA.

I guess you've got the flexibility to take on a reclamation project, but man, this guy is Golden State's Mark Blount, but worse.

Don't worry, I know he sucks.

Like the trade for you, and I think Indiana did pretty well, too.

Is it only minimum contract players you can afford?

Right now, even if you pick guys who all make the rookie minimum, you're going to be about $100k over the cap.

You're going to have to make a trade to dump some salary.  Also, I noticed some of the salaries in your sig are inaccurate (for instance, Wright makes $4.1 million, not $4.0), so if those inaccuracies are included in your cap calculation, you might be off by more than that.

Yeah I was hesitant to make the deal for a while as I didn't want to give up George, who was both the best player in the deal and has one of the most GM-friendly contracts in the game, but I really love the fit of my team after the deal.

Defensively I love the fit between Hibbert/West/Prince/Afflalo with TA coming off the bench.  Nash is a liability there, but he's surrounded by excellent defenders.

Nash gets his p&r buddy in West, we get more vet leadership with him and Prince, and Jeff Teague off the bench is a spark plug I needed.

One of those rare win-win trades.
