Brooklyn presumptive starting five: Hill, Kobe, Kawhi, Boozer, Gortat.

Still doesn't change the effect of Boozer on the lineup defensively, but the team got a little better, and small steps like these add up.

I'm not sure what this personal vendetta you have against Boozer is all about, but needless to say, IMHO you're way wrong about him.

Boozer isn't a $15m player, but he's still a border line all-star.  Boozer is a perfectly capable defensive player.  Not elite, but capable.

Boozer and Blatche are not liked on this board in these drafts.also bargs and mo will over the years

SUNS Pick 2
PG: Goran Dragic(7.5) CJ Watson(.992)
SG: Dwyane Wade(17.1) Dion Waiters(3.72)
SF:  Dorell Wright(4) Kyle Singler(1.00)
PF: Gerald Wallace(9.88) Kris Humphries(12)
C:  Brook Lopez(13)

Lopez is better than gortat and I think wright can stretch the floor like kawhi

Wright's a significant step back defensively and on the boards from Kawhi. Speaking of boards, Brook is just bad at rebounding.

Worried about boards? I can start Dragic wade Wallace humphries Lopez basically the nets

But then you're hurt offensively.

I know dragic d-wade and Lopez can't score, jokes. But I would be banking on Wallace hitting a three

They can't if you literally have two streaky shooters and that's it.

So by keeping kawhi they'd magically be able to score? Don't follow you.

Yes, because you wouldn't be forced to play Wallace/Humphries/Dragic at the same time together to make up for enemic rebounding and defense from Lopez/Wright.

So because they're less efficient rebounders doesn't mean they can't shoot and drive and get buckets?

I'm not going to come down on Phoenix too hard here. They moved an improving SF and ultimately pretty mediocre center for an all-star center who is younger and also, still improving. Yes, rebounding is a concern in the frontcourt, yes they no longer have a starting quality 3, but they still have assets and are one move away from having a better starting 5.

Overall decrease in talent for Phoenix, but Lopez is playing pretty well right now, especially on the offensive end.

No, it means you have to choose between units that can't d up and rebound or one that has no spacing and will  thus have trouble scoring.

This is a fair assesment from my perspective.  Lopez is no joke.  He may not be the best defender or rebounder, but dude is a beast on the offensive end.  I was rather reluctant to part with him.

Ultimately, I think it improved both teams based on fit.

Well, I disagree that both teams improved on fit. Leonard/Gortat is a fair exchange of talent for Lopez, but PHX needs a different SF option than Dorrell Wright, and it ain't Crash unless he gets a true stretch 4 with 3pt range.

But I don't think PHX is done yet. They need to move Wallace or Humpty-Hump for a legit starting 3, but I think that can be done.

Portland isn't interested in trading any of the Lillard/Batum/LMA core, but we'll help broker any deal as a third team in a trade if it helps improve our club.

I was walking along the road with two friends
the sun was setting
suddenly the sky turned blood red
I paused, feeling exhausted, and leaned on the fence
there was blood and tongues of fire above the blue-black fjord and the city
my friends walked on and I stood there trembling with anxiety
and I sensed an infinite scream passing through nature.
