Pop quiz: Is Quincy Pondexter one of the best names in the league, or one of the worst?
Show your work. Or just BS through it. Whichever.

I think if he added an "i" to his last name, it'd be right up there. Instead, I am left feeling shortchanged, and wondering what might have been.

I was walking along the road with two friends the sun was setting suddenly the sky turned blood red I paused, feeling exhausted, and leaned on the fence there was blood and tongues of fire above the blue-black fjord and the city my friends walked on and I stood there trembling with anxiety and I sensed an infinite scream passing through nature.

I feel like "Pondexter" flows better from "Quincy" than "Poindexter" would. But I agree it's hard to get past the similarity.

There is one more ethic but as yet unselected name I'd put above his. But only one.

Think I know who you mean. Among drafted guys, Bismack Biyombo could give him a run for his money too.

Question: guys with the minimum 1st year 2nd round pick salary ($.47) - do they get get counted at $.5 or the vet min for the purposes of this game?
If a guy is a rookie earning the rookie salary minimum ($490k, I believe), that's what they earn. For guys who signed later in the season, and are thus earning a pro-rated signing, GMs have two options: they can pay the pro-rated salary, but the player will be deemed to have signed on the date of their actual signing; OR the team can elect to pay that player for the entire year, but must pay them the minimum salary.
