Monta is on the block.  Looking for an upgrade at SF.
Monta Ellis for Luol Deng

I think Monta could work as a PG alongside JJ (SG) and Iggy (SF).

Ouch.

I think that would be an atrocious downgrade for Yoki.

I think Chicago would be a better team for that trade.

I don't.  Monta Ellis gets passed around on these drafts probably more than any player in the league, and that's because he's an intriguing talent, but a player who doesn't really fit anywhere.

Deng is a fantastic fit along with Noah and AI2.  I think those three need to remain, no matter what Chicago does.

Would you trade Joe Johnson for Monta Ellis?

Yeah I'm at around 56.71. Not ideal right now but doable

I like Monta Ellis a great deal if you can negate his limitations as a defender and as a floor general. I think Chicago can do that by playing him at PG defensively and by keeping Iggy + JJ to play alongside Monta in a non-PG centric offense.

I think Monta would bring more to the table for Chicago in that setup than Deng would if they keep things the way they are.

Only to save money, with the hopes of moving Monta for a piece that fit better.

OKC: Thad young 2.28 and 4.28

Den: JJ Hickson 3.3 and 5.12

Denver has 4.28 today not OKC
The Nets will finish with the worst record and the Celtics will end up with the 4th pick.

Willing to send Holiday and 2 early 5ths for a center and possibly a late 4th (not neccessary)

  • Be the posts you wish to see in the world.
Some guys I was eyeing are off the board but there still should be some sleepers falling to 21+22.

I think I'd do that, in order to preserve the Iggy/Deng combination on the wings. That's a real strength of Yoki's team, to me.

So it appears there are two picks from today's morning session that have yet to be made, is that right?

Not sure what the rules are on that, but I'll be nice, and wait until 1:20 to make my pick.

Of course, if someone out there wants to make me an offer, I will consider.

Ur up, dogg

very tempting offer but the decent centers (replacements) appear to be pretty much off the board already.

I'd really consider an Ellis-for-Johnson deal, but I'd have to dump Butler for a pick first.  Taking on Johnson basically means that I'd be shopping out of the bargain bin for the rest of the draft.

Ouch, yeah. Without moving Butler, you'd have less than $5 million to round out the roster.

Yeah, I am not sure that is a good trade for Washington.

I don't think they get enough out of JJ with him being third in the pecking order behind Parker and Pau to make that extra salary worth taking on.

I would do the Deng trade though. A lower usage (offensively) guy who can make a larger impact as a defender and rebounder. I think he'd be a great fit in Washington. Give them real physical and mental toughness.
