Historical Draft Best Overall/Best Defensive team

First round recap?

Atlanta Dominated

Bunch of good players, but no clear #1 guy.  Undersized front court, oversized wings.  Strange fit.
  Correct, False, False, Correct, False

Horford and Granger are both #1 options on their respective teams.  Granger not this year due to injury, but still is the number one option.  Front court is not undersized.  Millsap and Horford are two of the best rebounders in the league at their respective positions.

The only way Danny Granger will ever be a #1 option again is if he's traded to Charlotte.  Maybe Orlando/Phoenix too.  But the ship has sailed on the George/Granger hierarchy.

I do like Horford/Millsap up front though.

Horford is undersized for a C, no way around that.  Milsap is undersized for a PF, no way around that either.  Both are good though.

Horford and Granger are both technically #1 options, but I don't like them as #1's.  They are better as #2's.

Batum will get killed by SG's like Kobe, Wade, Harden, etc..

Atlanta would become my favorite team if either Batum or Granger were dealt for a legit starting guard option.

OJ Mayo on that team?

I was walking along the road with two friends
the sun was setting
suddenly the sky turned blood red
I paused, feeling exhausted, and leaned on the fence
there was blood and tongues of fire above the blue-black fjord and the city
my friends walked on and I stood there trembling with anxiety
and I sensed an infinite scream passing through nature.

Batum has had success against Wade.

Two things that really bother Wade are length and quickness.  That's why guys like Batum (long arms) and Bradley (great foot speed and recovery) are effective.

Batum could probably guard Kobe better than most, same for Harden.

Ya, I don't think there is any doubt Batum can defend the two guard spot.  He has the quickness and his length would be a nightmare for most 2 guards.

Also, in this nba horford millsap is not undersized.
