I feel like my 1.14 pick has become less valuable in the last few hours.

Atlanta and Washington (win-now teams) making major moves.

I'm not sure it was ever all that valuable to begin with. Aside from a smattering of teams with 3 valid keepers, this is for all intensive purposes the third round.

Of course I say that now, but tomorrow will be pure torture without a pick.
REALLY not looking forward to tomorrow   Tuesday will be fun though

Even with two relatively early picks, it's still scary how scarce the supply of good big men is.  Everybody is either taken, injured or flawed.

I'm not liking these late hour trades AT ALL!

I agree with Who, my 1.13 is now not looking like such a hot pick.  I have a feeling I'm going to have to re-assess my draft strategy (which really irks me seeing as I just spent the last hour or so finishing my rankings).

Denver sending a 1st for Beal, and Philly dealing 2 1st's for Smith earlier today is gonna make getting a 2nd big to go with Lopez difficult.

Whew!  I just realized there's an hour an 40 minute gap for lunch break between the 12th pick and mine.

Fairly lucky for me.  Should give me plenty of time to either make my pick or deal it for something.

Why again is it that people dont like the first round anymore? I see no way that the trades have this much of an effect on the players available at each spot

It's not that people 'don't like' the first round, I think it's more that people are seeing that the likeliest BPA's aren't going to be the cornerstones they'd want to set themselves apart. There is a distinct tier of players after the initial barrage of talent from the few teams with 3 all-star caliber players. There will be some cornerstone talent off the bat, then it'll fall into fringe all-stars, then solid starters and elite prospects (think Marcin Gortat for starters and Derrick Favors for prospects). That'll be how it plays out.

Not that there aren't good or great players in the pool. Just that there are a few big fish, a good amount of above average fish, then lots and lots of average fish.

I have  1.1 i know who I want to pick. Get in your last trade offers, I'd have to be overwhelmed to trade it though!

Hmmm. Does slotting 1.1 in as a SG tell us anything, besides the fact that one of the 4 best players on the planet is a SG and is available?
