Last minute trade talks before tomorrow's draft? If anybody's interested. I'm looking for some distraction.

Listening to offers for both Orange Juice Mayonnaise and Dirty Dirk.

A local Washington beat reporter just tweeted that Wall's locker has been emptied.  Stay tuned for more.

I don't really follow this trade for Washington.

Ok, well Spurs roster at least makes some sense now.

Wall and Bradley is an interesting combo to build around.

The top 2 recruits coming out of HS a few years back.

Trade confirmed:

Spurs send: Tim Duncan, 2.28, 4.28

to

Celtics for: Avery Bradley, 1.20, 5.20

Imagine Tim Duncan and Garnett playing together in real life...

I love KG and Duncan together but Boston only has two late 2nd rounders now, don't they?

That is going to be a tough one to pull off.

It'll be fun. I didn't see how else to this. It's not as if with Bradley and Garnett I was going to be able to get an impact player at 1.20 to turn me into a contender.

Now, I put a middle finger up to the new NBA and work from this inside-out.

It might be doable. I think you need at least one high usage scorer with one of those two late second rounders. There should be a couple of guys who fit that bill available at that point.

It'll be tough balancing that perimeter defense and shot creation / dribble penetration. Most of the guys who will be there in the 2nd and 3rd are of the one-dimensional scorer/creator variety.

It certainly won't be dull trying to piece that together. Should be fun.

  • Everyone's excited for the new era.
I hope you guys like playing against a full court press, cuz AB and Wall are pretty [dang] good at it.

I got those two, plus two firsts (albeit late ones).  I'm building for the future, and the future looks bright.*

*I gotta get those two to get solid jumpers, or else the future's going to be full of bricks AND brightness.

Not wild about John Wall and Bradley together. It puts a lot of pressure on your frontcourt to supply jump-shooting. Limits one's options in terms of who you can slot alongside them.

I'd love to see Wall in a pick and roll centric offense surround by shooters. A nice four out one in offense. With his explosive quickness and dribble penetration, Wall would be a nightmare to contain.

Well it makes sense you have two 1st rounders but if im correct you have no 2nd rounders nor 3rd rounders, right? so thats kind of tough, im hoping youre going into an all out rebuilding mode as there is still some young gems
