New GMs blowing up everyone's spot.

Yeah, I was wondering the same myself.

What's up with all this openly discussing ongoing trade talks.

By the way, it's not all the new GM's.

I think it makes sense, and I prefer it.

New GM's don't have experience, so it's harder for them to evaluate trade value. Why not go public before making a trade to gain other GM's attention?

It's far preferable to the silent ripoffs we've seen in the past.

Monta Ellis to me would've been a perfect compliment to the Bulls Ron Harper. The Sixers Eric Snow.
I think he would be good on an uptempo team with a pass first point guard who would set him up with good slashing opportunities.
DKC:  Rockets
CB Draft: Memphis Grizz
Players: Klay Thompson, Jabari Parker, Aaron Gordon
Next 3 picks: 4.14, 4.15, 4.19

I agree and it adds drama kind of like the real NBA
we should make a thread called: Pick 2 Draft: Rumor Mill

Yeah, I like it too. You know who is looking to make a move, who is available.

Hopefully, it'll limit those deals where someone only get 60c on the dollar.

Which player gets more hate in these drafts, Monta Ellis or Andrew Bynum?

Monta

Rumor: Celtics GM Danny Ainge has eye-gouged Spurs GM for blowing up his spot.

I guess, from my perspective, there is a certain way to go about it.

Saying "player XYZ is on the block" or "Player XZY is close to being moved" is one thing.

Naming destinations is different.  Specifying assets is way out of bounds, except if both parties are ok with it, and the GM's really are novices and have little idea of how this works.

Again, just my opinion, and how I prefer to deal.  I don't like giving up my hand easily.

At least Monta is healthy and on the court playing.

It does make some sense. However, if anyone talks trade with me in the future I would ask that you keep our discussions private.

Completely agree... keep it in PMs with people not on the board kinda ruins it if each trade gets dissected before it even happens

Ha, ya. It makes sense to go public, doesn't mean I'm thrilled that someone did.

That being said, if everyone went public on 'interests' I think you might find out that more than anything I like to do my due dilligence on any 'on the block' player
