As an FYI I have the cap room to make some deals if people are interested..... I'm in the wonderful position of being in the middle of the draft.

Not sure I like the middle.
Ditto -- top and bottom best. Middle dodgy.

Gotta say, I didn't think I'd have a chance to get a solid foundation to build off of from the middle, but I'll take my chances with Kobe and Brook Lopez.

On thw whole, I think the two people that ended up with Atlanta and Dallas (with high draft picks) might be in the best position for now.

GM's looking to go the "build for the future" route should PM me.

Atlanta Hawks

Josh Smith and Al Horford

Salary of 25.2 is steep but the talent is good at this stage.

That was the team I was shocked hadn't been picked.

Willing to trade a 2nd and a 3rd rounder for a 1st rounder and a later pick. Which 3rd rounder I send would depend upon the position of the 1st rounder.

Check my sig for assets

I love this draft because the first two rounds are so interesting.

Pick 2 basically means 10-15 players are going to be picked that don't deserve to be kept amongst the top 56-60 players in the league.

I'm wondering how much the salary cap is going to effect GMs to take a lesser talented player because he is less expensive

Monta on the block, and for the right package, my 1.6. And I mean the right package.

The salary cap factor is huge, unless you are the Lakers or Knicks.

The Lakers have their own playing field entirely, and then it's the Heat, Nets & Knicks at about the same.

Luckily (for me) I have the best draft position of the 4.

Its an advantage too for other teams. I've got 9.3 million dollars committed to 2 players who combine for 38.5 pts, 13.6 rebounds, and 7.3 assists per game, and will continue to improve for the next 4 years.

And I've got roughly 61 million dollars to commit to the rest of my team after that.

Compare that to the production from say..Brookyln, LA, or New York.

Yea...now you see.

I have 33 PPG, 15.1 RPG, 9.1 APG, 2 SPG and 2.8 BPG and still have $65 million left to spend.

Not seeing where either team has any advantage other than that your team is getting better production per dollar but I'm not sure that is all that big a factor in this endeavor.

All I want to do is make the best team possible while making the Lakers better than they are currently constructed.
