Boston Celtics

Kevin Garnett & Avery Bradley

Homer!   ;D

Yup.

It was real tough between them, probably the smart/right team, and a couple young'ns

It would be pretty insane if you could still nab Rondo or Pierce in the player draft.

I don't think Rondo has much value because he can't play for the rest of the season.

  • You ain't the boss of the freakin' bedclothes.
Brooklyn is tempting, but I'm going to go Houston with Harden (on the last year of his rookie deal) and Asik.

After Detroit was taken I thought for sure it will make it to me. Curse YOU!

Would not have made it past me.

So what kind of value are people going to place on Rondo in the draft?  How  badly is his current knee injury going to count against him?

He can't be considered viable for a team built to win this year.

Depends on your team.  If you are loaded with older win now, little.

Young bucks not going to win, a lot.

If you are trying to impress certain posters, 1st.

I had Detroit projected at pick 10.  4 was higher than I thought, but you can't go wrong with two young quality bigs.

I thought we were playing this like the team we had would be playing the 13/14 season, no?

I had Detroit and LA both pegged around the high teens early twenties.

Very interested to see how both of those squads play out. To see what type of advantage LA can get with their higher salary cap + what type of team Detroit builds around their two young big men.

It's for this year, but not everyone is aiming for the same thing.  Some might be looking to the future, no?

Yeah, you take your players as you find them for a theoretical 2013 season.  However, a lot of GMs are going to be future-oriented, and to them Rondo is going to be an extremely appealing piece.

Wade, Rondo and Pierce will be available at the top of the draft.  That's pretty appealing.

LA not till the high teens?  I thought the Kobe/Dwight pairing with LA's payroll cushioning the impact of Kobe's contract guaranteed them a spot in the top 10.

For me I thought there was too much unknown to pick Rondo.

In a real draft I'd probably take him, but I don't know enough about how other people in this draft view them.
