First time GM for pick 2. Not sure if my position is good or not.
You need luck. It happens. I was the 2nd to last to pick a team last year and somehow the Spurs dropped to me. |

Pretty good. Toward either end is where you want to be. You'll get lots of good draft picks, and at that point in the team selection process there are a lot of roughly equal situations. |

since there's some looseness around the times for picking teams today and tomorrow, I may not be available for the second pick of teams/keepers while waiting for the first team to be taken. do we still have the same option of PMing someone to make the picks for us and if so, who's taking those requests this time around?
I'll take it. Just send 2 teams, and the order you want them in.

Commish said that you can pick now if you want since you are up first. I have no major objection if folks want to start announcing their teams today, so long as nobody gets skipped and there's no pressure put on GMs who wait until tomorrow.
