This is awesome. I'm going to end up exactly with the team I want.

Anyone who's near the top for keepers want to be near the top for the draft? I'm willing to swap. I have the 6th pick in the draft... Reminder it's fixed order.

Good luck with that.  I have never seen that type of swap.

I would do that, but I would need a sweetener.

How much of a sweetener? We could swap picks at some point. Say I give you my late 4th for your early 5th, or something like that.

I was tempted to do a deal but if that's best sweetener out there, no thanks.

Rethinking... sorry :)
And not just because of your comment, IP. There are plenty of teams out there with two good players.

After careful consideration and ruling out a few teams that will definitely be gone by #8, I've narrowed my options down to...12.   Hrm.  Back to the drawing board.

I'm picking third for keepers, but I'm not sure if I want to contend or set up a team for the future.

If I contend, the first two picks are clearly Miami and OKC.  After that..... I don't know which team I should choose.

If I rebuild, that'd be tough as well.

If anyone wants to trade, send me a PM and I'll see if I like any proposals.

since there's some looseness around the times for picking teams today and tomorrow, I may not be available for the second pick of teams/keepers while waiting for the first team to be taken.  do we still have the same option of PMing someone to make the picks for us and if so, who's taking those requests this time around?

I'll take it. Just send 2 teams, and the order you want them in.

To be clear on the rules...  You can swap franchises, but I'm pretty wary of the "sweetener" aspect.

The purpose of the franchise swaps is basically to help out people who get an unfavorable draft time, or who want to tackle a different challenge (i.e., have the #1 pick of franchises but wish to rebuild).  It's not, however, intended to give franchises a leg up over one another by accumulating extra assets.

If someone really wants the rebuild route, my team being 11ths is in a good spot.  Should be able to get a good team with two good young blocks already in place while being in a spot to get one of the better young blocks others could not keep.

(not that I expect to actually being able to swap draft spots)

First time GM for pick 2. Not sure if my position is good or not.
