IP, true. Lucky and I are paying two players 16.5 million for 36.2 ppg, 9apg, 12 rpg. Plus they're both young.

I get the feeling that all of the top talent is going to go off the board pretty quickly and the teams with extra cap space are just going to end up with more expensive role players. Those $7-10 million players instead of $5 million players and $5-6 million players instead of $2-3 million players.

Unless they can find a trade or two with some team that hasn't handled their cap well or is overly worried early on about their cap situation.

This has pretty much been my take on it.  Gonna be some top heavy rosters.  Heck, mine is the top-heaviest with just Kobe.

Stars win in this league though, not cap space.

Round One and two will be interesting and then I think the budgets come into play.

Just putting out there that I'm always willing to discuss trades.  Wall, Beal, and all picks are on the table.

Round One and two will be interesting and then I think the budgets come into play.
I think what the interesting thing will be is when teams have 4-6 players and they suddenly realize they have no ability to make their team better by simply drafting because they are so limited as to who to select because of the salary cap.

Its going to happen to a lot of team that don't slot their salary for each round and be careful about what they have to spend and can spend.

Then a raft of trading is going to take place where these teams attempt to trade similar talent around similar positions just to increase their cap and give them more to draft.

So my guess is that come Wednesday or Thursday of next week you will see huge player movement as teams attempt to rework their salary.

Question:  do we have to match salaries for trades?  Or would a (hypothetical) Howard-for-Bradley trade be okay as long as both teams remain under the cap?

Roy H. said no need to match salaries. Just stay under the cap.
