the window is closing faster than ever... with the injuries to rondo, sully and now barbosa... plus the fact that the celtics still has a glaring need for a big man...the celtics need to make moves asap...

the trade rondo calls are persisting...as well as the trade bass demands... if the celts indeed trade them and get lowry from the raps and nene from the wiz, will it be a good trade for the celtics? can they go deep in the playoffs or even win it all? (assuming no more injuries come their way)..

PG - lowry, bradley, (barbosa)
SG - lee, terry
SF - pierce, green
PF - kg, wilcox, (sully)
C -  nene, collins, melo

I think people might be underestimating the emotional effect that trading Rondo would have on Pierce and KG.

I don't really see the upside for Washington in this trade, they would then have 4 pf's fighting over minutes and Okafor is their only guy capable of playing center, Nene is probably a better fit for their team.

Also it doesn't really solve our depth problem for bigs, and i doubt it's enough to put us over the top. Not enough to give up our best asset, even if he is injured. He will be more valuable next year either on the court or as a trade chip.
