Boston Sends: Rondo,Bass,Melo & a 1st 2013
Boston gets: Gortat,Beasley & Jimmer Freddette

Kings send: Jimmer Freddette
Kings get: 2013 1st

Suns send: Marcin Gortat & Micheal Beasley
Suns get: Rajon Rondo, Brandon Bass & Fab Melo

I think Phoenix would go for this being there are not going anywhere & can get a marquee PG in Rondo who is BOX-OFFICE which is sometimes #1 here in Phoenix over winning. And to get a Nash replacement who can get fans enthusiastic about the rebuilding process could be great as they would have their QB for the next 7-10 yrs. And they get a project center to develope with good long term potential to replace Gortat.

Its good for Boston short term as our time with KG & Pierce is running out. Beasley if he ever gets back to rebounding like he did college & buys into Boston team defense would be a steal if he pans out, but it is a huge gamble I feel worth it in exchange for Bass 2 Bad contracts. I guess the real question is Gortat worth Rondo? I think yes for our situation & Rondo is perfect for theirs as Gortat is not a center who will still be prime in 3-4 yrs when PHX is ready to turn the corner. I would do Jimmer for a 1st rounder because he gives us premier shooting from the PG position & that's what we truly lack at the moment. And Jimmer for a 1st in a weak draft is not a bad idea.

Sacramento does this to help in clearing up a heavy PG problem Brooks,Thomas,Evans,Freddette as they have too many PG's & not enough balls or minutes. And a 1st for a guy who hasn't been what they had hoped is not too bad & they can set their sights on re-upping Evans in Seattle as a fresh start. Maybe even Phoenix takes the 1st rounder & Sac/Sea takes on Melo.

same here. although by reading it, it seems like another "trade rondo while he's injured" trade or in other words sell for pennies on the dollar.

Seems insane to me but they keep popping up

I put the trade at the bottom in my edit. But I do feel Rondo is the only gateway to winning in the rest of the KG era along with Pierce. This year may be our very last shot! So we do have to trade someone & Rondo is likely it. Don't get me wrong I do like Rondo.

Is that all Rondo is worth to you? Your trade blows chunks.

Actually thats a nice haul for a injured ACL! Gortat is not a slouch & Beasley & Jimmer still have time to blossom under the right coaching. And you get rid of Bass! Im all for it.
