Don't understand the fascination with Delonte...he's injury prone and a locker room cancer. His second chance with the Celtics has come and gone already. Time to move on.

What other legit option is there?

Play Bradley, Lee & Terry more.  The three of them should be capable of playing 30 minutes a night.  Just need to find a guy to play 10 or so minutes a night.  Not ideal, but at this point ideal is long gone.

Play Pierce at the 2, and give Jeff Green more minutes at the 3.

  • We may as well put Tyrion in at center.

Yeah, that's not a bad idea. I'd like to get a younger, unproven player than an old guy. Maybe he'll pan out or something.
I like Marcus Smart

This x2
Not fascination, but he knows the system, I'm OK with him being a 10-15 minutes a night guy.

Right now we need him and he most certainly needs us to save his NBA career.

He'd only be here for the remainder of the season, no training camp to negotiate (we know that's where issues have arose in Boston and Dallas).

One last chance, even if he may not deserve it. What have we got to lose at this point?

Play Pierce at the 2, and give Jeff Green more minutes at the 3.

Pierce playing defense against guards more often will probably lead to more moments such as this:

At least the shot didn't go in.

No. An injury-prone team doesn't need anymore injury-prone players.

  • I'm a Paul Heyman guy.
Id give a shot at someone else. No disrespect to Delonte.

I already said that Terrence Williams is available, he could be of use as a penetrator and a defender.

Jonny Flynn maybe?

Or that kid from the Summer League that shined bright. I forgot his name though.

I'm a Delonte, fan he plays hard, can knock down shots, defend and attack the hoop.

I think he is difficult to deal with off the court which is probably why he won't be brought in.

Delonte West would be the perfect pick-up for our team right now.  He has good size, knows the system, can play point guard, plays great defense and has the heart of a Celtic.  Danny needs to be on the phone ASAP!
