Paul milsap or big al?

Seen a lot of trade ideas for both guys. Which one would you rather acquire and what's the most you would be willing to move for either.

Seems like Utah will be moving one at the deadline.

My mind has changed on this.

Prior to the RR/Sully injuries, I wanted Big Al. Figured with Sully, we needed a 5 more than a 4. Since AlJeff costs more, we would have had to have given up more players to match salaries, and with RR/Sully, we had the bodies to absorb the hit of our 2 or 3 for 1 roster spots that we would have had given up for AlJeff.

Now, post-injuries, Milsap is my choice for a couple of reasons. First, he costs a lot less, so we have to give up a lot less salary, hence fewer bodies.
Second, with Sully out, Milsap fills the Sully roll better than Sully.

The problem is, does Utah even consider a Bass plus Melo plus 2 firsts for Milsap.

It works, but we need to entice them more, I think. Hate to give up any of the rest of the gang, playing so well. Maybe we have to throw in Sully. Hate to do it, but Milsap gives KG HUGE help on the boards NOW.

Big Al.

The Celtics are a half court team.  Having a low post threat like Jefferson can really open up some space for shooters.

Plus, he can play C when KG is not on the floor.

How about this one?

http://espn.go.com/nba/tradeMachine?tradeId=akmfh7x

Utah gets a first round pick and I believe a Trade Exception.

Salary-wise, we are not set up well to be trading partners with Utah.

That said, Milsap is (1) the better all-around player, (2) a better fit for the Celtics, and (3) the easier salary to match.

So the answer is definitely Milsap.

The Jazz would be trading Milsap only in order to (1) clear his salary and save what he has left this year and (2) get a young asset back.

It is extremely unlikely that they would take Bass back. What they want is a young player/draft pick and an expiring contract.

We don't have an expiring contract.

So, while Milsap would make our suddenly scary team much scarier, we're probably SOL.

so Memphis gets Lee and Collins without coughing up any assets?  Utah could actually use Lee as opposed to Melo.

If we're moving a player to Memphis for nothing and Utah would take on just Melo (  ::) ) then have Memphis take Bass.

Also not thrilled with dumping our only 2 healthy centers even if they aren't very good.

Al Jefferson all day.

Way too many healthy bodies have to go out to get AlJeff. The team would be gutted.

Like I said in an other topic. Millsap is one of those players who is working hard and got the ability to really become a player who is bleeding green. He is loyal, never in the media in a bad way and always giving 100% Hussle player with stats in every cat

I would love Millsap on the Celtics. Chances of landing him are very small at the moment.

This.

Big Al is the superior player IMO

We're not getting either one as the only player Utah MIGHT have interest in is Green and/or Lee. They have zero interest in Bass I can promise you that. They want help on the wing or a PG

I'd trade Rondo for either one, though I prefer Al for the reasons above (low post offense and having a C when KG is out).

I think whether we keep Rondo or not this is our last chance for a deep playoff run. After that we need to rebuild whether we have RR or not, and Rondo might just be good enough to keep us out of the lottery. If I'm Danny I go all in for this year.
