I have absolutely no desire to bring the Paul Pierce era to a premature close.  Even if we fall short of a title, I'll always appreciate games like tonight as a fan.  We're watching a Hall of Famer player, and I wouldn't give up that opportunity for Eric Bledsoe or whatever non-elite prospect we're supposedly going to get.

Great game tonight.

As someone who is for trading Pierce and KG, I can say I certainly understand your point of view.

My list of favorite current Celtics used to go:

KG
Rondo
Pierce

Let's just say Paul is on Rondo's heels.

we sure do need a big more than we need him.

Pierce/KG are why I still beleive this team has a shot in the playoffs..

as long as our roleplayers also keep performing at this level.

Roy, thank you for giving me a quote I can copy and paste in any thread that has a Paul Pierce for mediocre prospect trade proposal.

I'd rather ride out this year with both Pierce and KG than start rebuilding, even if it means we ruin our title chances in future years.

It's just too much fun to watch the Cap and the Ticket do their thing.

also, something nobody here has yet to discuss is PP took a 3 that was NOT needed in OT and missed instead of just getting 2 and really put us behind the 8 ball and forced green to shoot his 3. we got lucky there. i think we were down by 3 at that point. plenty of time to get two and a stop. we really rolled the dice today. and escaped.

If we're going to try to win now without rondo then lets do it right. This team is an above average big man away from at least having a shot. Right now i still don't think they have a shot without that.
