To be a real rivalry there must be more of an intertwined history, to my mind.  Otherwise, you can say that every  opposing team is a rivalry.
I can agree with that. And I really don't think we have a true rival right now. But if I must pick one then it's LA.

how anyone answers this with anything other than the Lakers is beyond me.  Can't even believe someone had to ask.

Celtics/Lakers goes back to the early days of the league.  Everyone else is just a temporary blip on the radar.

1) LA Lakers, will always be
2) Miami Heat, but it's just the last 3 years or since LBJ joined the Heat
3) NY Knicks, now at the moment and some history as well
4) Philladelphia 76'ers, a lot of history
