How can one be a fan?
Is one just supposed to root their team on?
For example, I don't like when people say "I HATE KOBE, HE'S A FAKER AND IS A BAD PLAYER!!" because it's obviously false. You have to respect a player if he plays good no matter what team he's on!
I also don't like "Let's trade Jeff Green and Jason Collins for Kevin Durant!" because that's just unreasonable and you're just being way too Celtic-biased.
I don't think being such a biased fan is good at all, sure we want our team to win, but we can't say "Miami? Easy blowout 173-43 Celtics!" because that's just.... not right! It would suck if some other fan said "Jeff Green sucks, heart surgery is nothing, he's just a #$@##$% #$@^$ waste of money!" because that's inconsiderate.
I think we should all respect the Celtics and love them the way we do, but respect OTHER players and teams as well even if it's Miami/the Lakers...
Someone should write a book, The Ethics of Sports
