What if they're using mobile phones or speaker phones in their office?
Then no one hangs up the phone.

It's tempting since the guys we trade play about 7 minutes a game or don't play at all....
Other positives, the Suns pick could net a good player. I love Pachulia. Clock ticking with Paul and KG.
We certainly lose big time on talent and the sun win. But I don't think the team trading the injured guy ever wins the trade.
final answer: Boston should and does hang up.
TP for the temptation....

I mean, we hang up the phone instantly. I mean there would be no hesitation to hanging up the phone right away for that pitiful offer.

Sorry but this is just silly. You are essentially moving up in a weak draft and getting Dragic for Rondo.

I wouldn't go as fare to call this a pitiful. If this pick lands the celtics Noel or Len then they have the center of the future ( sorry melo), sg of future in ab, pf of future in sully, a 26 yr old starting pg, a 27 yr old sf in green , and keep the two vets who are the heart of the team pp and kg. zaza is a solid role player to play next to kg this year to make one last run at a ring.

How about my 3 team trade I have been posting for weeks
PHO - Smith, Rondo, Terry ATL - Dragic, Gortat, Bass, Lee BOS - Teague, L. Williams, Dudley, Pachulia, W. Johnson, I. Johnson
Phoenix picks up 2 stars to build around.
Atlanta replaces Teague with a slightly lesser PG, but one locked up long term on a fairly reasonable contract, adds the true center they want to pair with Horford and picks up some very solid bench/spot starters in Bass and Lee on reasonable deals.
Boston is a lot more competitive this year and has a lot more long term flexibility and assets going forward. So for the rest of this year Boston would be:
PG - Teague, Bradley, Barbosa SG - Dudley, Bradley, W. Johnson SF - Pierce, Green, Dudley PF - Garnett, Green, I. Johnson C - Pachulia, Garnett, Wilcox, Collins, Melo
Next year Boston adds back in Williams and Sullinger, and presumably would re-sign Teague, Pachulia, and maybe the Johnson's plus adds the draft pick and would be in a pretty good spot moving forward as well

Terrible, terrible trade for us!
We have a plethora of small guards and have proven we can win without a natural PG, and critical as I've been of Rondo this season he's still a clear cut all-star and I would demand an all-star (al at least future all-star) calibre player in return.
I would trade for Eric Gordon long before I'd do this, simply because we are desperate for scoring and I see him as a potential ~25 PPG (in the mould of AI, Monta Ellis, Dwyne Wade) calibee scoring a few years from now if he can stay relatively healthy.
