Not calling out anyone in particular , but this is so insane to me . Many of the same people saying Danny blew our chance in 2011 by trading Perk for Green are now saying( a good amount of them) we are better without Rondo....

Is this bizarro world ? or just celtics blog? someone help me find reality

This didn't need a thread.

People like to complain.  The end.

Well...we traded Perk and we got worse

Rondo got hurt and we got better (so far)

Reasoning aside we hold these truths to be self evident.

Danny blew our chances for a 2011 championship in 2008 when he drafted JR Giddens over Nikola Pekovic. Obviously at the time, Danny's pick was a risky one hoping to acquire a capable wing defender. But looking at it now knowing what we know in 2013, only a fool or a sociopath who derives pleasure in the pain of others would've made that pick. It is obvious now that Danny messed us over really bad. Sure there was no way to know then, and we couldn't possibly have seen how good Pekovic would've become or how bad Giddens would turn out to be so we all commented on what was available at the time for information, but this is now, and now it is clear.

Because that's how all past comments need to be analyzed. With hindsight, and without context or nuance.

It was more like we lost Shaq, and we got worse.

Post of the year candidate right there, folks.
Why the need to constantly revisit the past? Is this a Boston thing, brought on in part by the Red Sox 80+ year drought?

yeh, I was gonna say the same...even at 37? 38? years old, he was still killing everyone. I mean come on, 7'1, at 300+ lbs, its so hard to stop that guy...hes a tank

if our squad was healthy in 2010, I swear it wouldn't been one of the greatest teams ever assembled...and I honestly think we would've won in 2010

Rondo/Nate Robinson
Ray Allen/Nate
Paul Pierce/Marquis
KG/BBD/JO
Shaq/Perk/JO

man, our bigs were unstoppable.

Yeh, not saying those views aren't incredibly short sighted or that I even believe them, just that they are the common conception.

and wasn't Shaq 2011?  We made the Finals in 2010.
