Little to no chance it will happen. But if Kobe was avail and danny got big eyed, would you do this trade?? From what we know Kobe likes the Celtics/Rondo and if he has a no trade option, would prob have Bos as one of the teams he wouldn't mind playing for

To Lakers: Jeff Green, Brandon Bass, Courtney Lee, Sullinger + 1st round pick

To Celtics: Kobe, Earl Clark

starting lineup: KG - Clark - PP - Kobe - Bradley
off the bench: Terry, Wilcox, Collins, Barbosa, 2 sf pickup

Would this kind of change be too much to handle? Would we be the clear favorite to win? Is this enough ammo to beat Miami?

I'll be the first to tell you this trade would never happen... to answer your question though I don't think we'd be favorites to win. Kobe isn't exactly young, and we're giving up a lot of our own firepower, youth and defense to get him in that scenario... its not worth it.

Not to mention I don't think PP and Kobe could play together... two iso players in the same lineup spells chemistry issues

Remember the lakers are horrid so blowing up the team is not out of the question. Even after getting howard and nash, they are only playing 500 and actually might not even make the playoffs. Now thats sad

IF the celts kept losing without Rondo, then KG and PP would of have to been considered to be traded. So how is it different with the lakers and Kobe? Maybe its not everyone else, maybe its Kobe

That's a good lineup, even with the question mark whether Paul and Kobe would coexist or not.
But it's too thin for a veteran squad. Even the minor injuries would have massive consequences, so, this isn't as good as it might look in the first view.

they can coexist. Kobe was doing 10 plus assists before pau went down. He can be selfish but on a good team and now with age i think he would be more willing to share the ball. He is all about winning

anyways just an idea, not like i would want it to come true as i love our team now. But if Kobe was avail, i wonder how many teams would line up to try to get him.

relax. its an idea. But the lakers are playing bad and haven't done nothing in the playoffs for the past few years.

If they want to remain mediocre but keep kobe, than thats up to them

lol. if your a true fan , you wouldn't and probably start liking kobe.

You know for me, i always hated this guys self righteous attitude. But he was and still is a great player. Couldn't believe the shots he was making yesterday with Lee stuck on him like Glue.
