I'd amend that to "Don't trade anyone, including Fab."  Fab's salary can't bring back much in return, so I'd rather he hung around to become that hard-nosed big in a year or two.  Grab a bruiser making the minimum for a second-rounder, maybe, or one off the waiver wire.  But if you want to keep the rotation in tact, Fab won't get you much, because the players we'd want make too much money.

If we trade anyone who is currently playing well, we lose that benefit.

What we should be doing is trading for something, trading for an added benefit to combine with our team.

For example:

If we trade Lee away we lose our 2nd ball pressure and another driver/slasher to the rim.

If we trade Terry or Green we hurt our bench production significantly.

If we trade Pierce or KG....well nothing needs to be said, we lose alot...a LOT.

Right now is what matters because right now we got a team believing in themselves and each other.

We got a team playing well and we got two hall of famers giving it their all at the advanced age they are in an effort to win a title.

Will this team win it? No clue. Nothing is guaranteed, but you gotta try.

Agreed. Can anyone else believe that for 6 games we haven't been a jump shooting team?? Everyone is aggressive every game. They're playing with a chip on their shoulders and an underdog status. It's beautiful to watch

We got Jeff Green, Lee, Terry on 3 year deals. Bradley on a rookie deal, Rondo in 2015. Sullinger on a rookie deal; Bass on a 3 year deal; Garnett on a 3 year deal. Only Pierce is due next year. So I think we are set.

Add a decent big man and we can still contend.

Yup....there is some great chemistry developing here once they were counted out and there was no more pressure or expectations once rondo went out...care free, simple basketball and they're having fun......haven't seen a team having as much fun since 2007.....once they need a execution and precision basketball and the expectations and pressure is back in the playoffs I expect them to revert to early season form

In playoff basketball, the game will change to slow down, grind it out basketball...the type of basketball we know how to play.

With our current team and roster, when playing their capabilities...not only can they play and win in a grind it out, defensive minded game, but this roster has enough offensive fire power and transition game to not need to rely on our older vets to get a basket.

This current roster has a bench that can score, unlike any bench we have had since '08 (when we had specialists in House, Posey etc.).

You know, up until yesterday I was all for moving KG or Pierce for the right deal but their recent play has really changed my mind. Watching the inspired play and hearing the undying loyalty of the two has really swayed me.

I still think this team needs help up front for KG but I've officially put my vote in for keeping it together, getting them some help, and watch them go out swinging.

Gotta look at the future but can't just put all your eggs in the "hope" basket.
