Am I crazy in feeling better with Lee/Bradley as the "point guards" instead of Terry/Barbosa? I'm really liking what Lee brings to the team, and loving the Lee/Bradley backcourt. I know, you've got to give up something to get something, but Lee has finally been showing why he's such a good guy to have around.
I don't know, Bradley bringing up the ball does not look that good to me.
I think he's generally capable, although I agree with you -- his hunched up dribble makes my back hurt just watching.

How about:
Memphis gets Lee, Bass, and Terry. Boston gets Randolph and Wroten.
Works on the trade checker.
Rumors have been floating that Memphis would unload Z-Bo. They could replace him with Bass and get Terry and Lee for more perimeter offense.
Celtics get size and low-post scoring in Z-Bo to pair with KG's mid-range game and an intriguing, young, athletic point guard with size (6-6) in Wroten. C's guard corp would be a mess (Pierce would probably have to play some 2 guard) but that frontline would be a powerhouse - KG/Z-Bo/PP.

I'd probably move Lee for the trade exception that Boston would get back. I'd really like Tony Allen back though. I think he would be a great fit and would be an easy sell to the rest of the team that we aren't giving up on the year (while at the same time dumping Lee for an expiring). I don't think Memphis would do that however and they certainly aren't giving up Ed Davis.

Well if some how we got Zach Randolph out of it I'm all ears.
This was my thoughts exactly. I really like lee but if we could get Randolph in a package I'm all over it. Lee bass and.... For Randolph. Grizz get lee who they're "after" and then trade 3 years and 16 mil per year of Randolph for a much cheaper 3 years and 6 mil per year of bass.

Memphis need a scorer. Not another limited creator offensively.
Really disappointed with what has happened there over the last few weeks.
They do. But they also need perimeter shooting, which Lee provides. As well as making a great defense even better.

Only guy you want back for Lee is Marc Gasol.
Think about what Randolph will do on this team? He will take away from our speed game, he will take away from KG and PP.
No thanks.
We need a guy who can hit the open jumper and do dirty work.
We need a Nick Collison type guy, a Udonis Haslem guy...heck if Bass can get back to playing like he did last year, we'd be all set.

If the C's are dumping salary then I'd have to assume they'd dump Pierce and try to move KG as well.
If that's the case sure, but otherwise why would the C's do this?
It could get them under the tax line.
There's zero reason for this team to be interested in getting under the tax line this year.

Yes, you beat me to it. If it were a Lee for Allen trade, that'd be great for the Cs. I would also be tempted with the straight up Lee for trade exeption -- it would give the Cs options in the future. That said, a $5M trade exemption is in a funny range. it is about $1M or $1.5M too small to be really useful, IMHO. The players out there that it could be used on is limited (e.g.: all the folks that signed for the MLE this year get a raise next year, and the TE couldn't be used on them).
