The Grizzlies are not done dealing, according to multiple sources -- they're just not looking to do any more
stripping. The Grizzlies are far enough under the luxury tax that they're willing to utilize at least part of their $7.5 million trade exception to add some perimeter help. Acquiring SG Courtney Lee, who Boston would consider flipping for some frontline help, was discussed but the Celtics aren't looking just to drop salary but add size. That, of course, is if they continue their current run since Rajon Rondo went down; the winning streak apparently has GM Danny Ainge feeling an obligation to KG and Paul Pierce to give them whatever he can to take one more shot rather than move one of his veterans and begin rebuilding. Not sure I believe much of the rumors now but figured I'd post it. I have no interest in moving Lee unless they want to send back Ed Davis...even then, I really like what Lee brings to this team.

THey don't have anyone realistically that they would trade for Lee plus with his defense and offensive combination I want to keep him...

If the C's are dumping salary then I'd have to assume they'd dump Pierce and try to move KG as well.
If that's the case sure, but otherwise why would the C's do this?

It could get them under the tax line.

Pre-Rondo injury I would've done Lee for Speights. Speights is doing really well in Cleveland averaging 14.7 ppg, and 7.3 rpg, in 24.3 mpg.

I like Courtney Lee, but if they offered Ed Davis for him, I think I would do the deal.

Am I crazy in feeling better with Lee/Bradley as the "point guards" instead of Terry/Barbosa? I'm really liking what Lee brings to the team, and loving the Lee/Bradley backcourt. I know, you've got to give up something to get something, but Lee has finally been showing why he's such a good guy to have around.

Don't see the C's "dumping" Lee. He's young and on a reasonable contract. He'd be pretty far back in line if the Cs start blowing it up...

Since the first objective is to get out of the East, I'm not sure that swapping Lee for Ed Davis gets you any closer to that. I think Lee's size as a guard is way more necessary that adding another big, even if that big would be an upgrade over Collins. If Wilcox can play like he did against LA, he really shores things up sizewise.

I don't know, Bradley bringing up the ball does not look that good to me.

Memphis need a scorer. Not another limited creator offensively.
Really disappointed with what has happened there over the last few weeks.
