1.  The ball is moving much better now and we're seeing much better offensive production out of everyone.  It's much more difficult to defend when everyone is a threat, we run in transition, and they have to defend for more than 4 seconds every shot clock.

2.  Lee and Bradley have put insane pressure on the other teams perimeters players.  Teams are forced to work to get the ball up to half court, let alone be escorted to the rim like we *ahem* saw so often with Rondo.

3.  We're seeing a looser team.  Winning is fun, losing is miserable.  It's much easier to make that extra pass and not worry about your shots when the team is winning and people are passing it to you equally as frequently.  We're seeing the extra hustle "Tommy plays" that we weren't seeing nearly frequently enough before.

Now all of these keys were all definitely doable and will continue to be doable with Rondo around.  We just unfortunately needed a major shakeup (Rondos ACL) to see the light.   Doc had been pushing for this all season (and we saw it in spurts with our bench), but for all of his talents, being humble isn't one of them.  We saw Rondo see the team struggle and decide the answer was to put even more pressure on himself to perform.

I hope and believe that when Rondo eventually returns he'll have greater faith in his teammates after seeing them like this and take our "spread offense" to another level.

At the end of the day you need star power and guys who can create in the playoffs because defenses lock in that much more.   If/when we lose in the playoffs we will all lament how we didn't have Rondo to create those easy pick and pop shots for KG and Bass and give the cutters the easy layups.

Until then, it's some beautiful basketball we're seeing and we are a championship team playing like this.  Great balance, aggressive defense, and the ability to score in large bunches.

the good thing is this team has confidence from this winning streak. If they lost confidence after rondo went down, it could have gotten ugly.

last time I checked we have two stars going into the playoffs. Kg and Pierce.

No expectations...they were expected to tank.....yet they're still led by two guys with the heart of champions and somehow got to the role guys.

Yeah 4 other high quality guards have allowed us to avoid a massive drop off.

Also Paul Pierce stopped playing the worst basketball of his career that I can recall.

When rondo was here, he had the ball in his hands 75 percent of the time. When he was on the bench, the rondo effect was still on the floor, but it was worse bc guys like Terry and Bradley are not rondo.

Without the Rondo effect, everyone is working with each other. There is less standing around. The result has been amazing

plus you got two set of guards that are confusing the crap out of teams. Lee and Bradley, tire out the starters and barb and terry have been abusing the 2nd unit. Without guards bringing up the ball/operating properly and where most teams don't have a lebron who can bring up the ball, its been a nightmare for teams to play us.

On the offense also we are tiring opposing teams , getting them running everywhere trying to keep up with the passing. Its not one extra pass usually, its one extra after that, and another one etc. Sometimes its one too many, but for the most part it is a great habit we have picked up.

I really enjoy watching the rondoless celts just beating the other team up. They are tiring them out on both ends of the court and while on the other bc everyone on the celts are involved on both ends of the court, the energy level is there till the end. Other than melo literally everyone has been playing , contributing and not making mistakes
