Jeremy Evans, Gerald Green, Kenneth Faried, Eric Bledsoe, Terrence Ross and James White will take part in the Sprite Slam Dunk Contest on February 16.
It's an interesting group of participants with some exciting young players taking part in the action. The contest also has defending champ in Jeremy Evans as well as former champ Gerald Green, who had one of the most memorable dunks in the contest's history when he blew out a cupcake candle.

The 3-Point Contest will feature Paul George, Kyrie Irving, Steve Novak, Ryan Anderson, Matt Bonner and Steph Curry.

I thought Gerald Green said he won't ever join the Slam Dunk Contest?

Curry is going to blow out the competition.

Gerald should win the dunk contest easily.

The West is stacked in the skills challenge.  Parker, Lin, and Lillard vs. Holiday, Knight, and Teague.  What a waste of time.

I like Chuck's team over Shaq's a lot.  They have better size, much better defense, and their guys all have specified roles offensively, with Rubio running the show.  Shaq's team is good for highlights, but not for winning.

Sadly, the Slam Dunk contest jumped the shark at least a decade ago.

Why no Jeff Greennnnn

Jeff Green is an in-game dunker not really flashy, just a power dunker.

Plus, he's going to Brazil for All Star Weekend!

I'd watch these two all day. I'm glad they are in this year's contest.

Let's face it, Gerald Green is screwed if anyone else wears a Superman cape. :P

I was wondering, since Dwight got perfect tens, how would they have scored him if he had actually dunked the ball?!?

Like most of All Star Weekend, (including the voting), this is all about hype, and nothing about skill or ability.

It's certainly fun, to a certain extent, but integrity left the building long ago.

I still enjoy it as entertainment, but I just can't get into anything that persumes to lend credibility to the thing ... not anymore, especially after that Superman crapola.

What a joke.

I'm with you on that Superman "dunk".  I still get annoyed when I think about how everyone acted like it was so amazing, even though he fell a few feet short of the rim.  Maybe Ray Allen could have entered the dunk contest and won it with a 3 pointer.
