...then doesn't it make sense to at least get a superstar in return to pair with Rondo, Green, Bradley and Sully for next year and beyond? (Josh Smith, Dwight Howard, etc.)

Aka, if KG is dealt, then wouldn't the Celts have enough cap space to go after both Dwight and Josh Smith?

Admittedly, I am not an expert on the NBA salary cap.

I just think that way, you expedite the "rebuilding" process rather than just being in the NBA toilet for the next 3-5 years. If that's the case, I ain't watching.

You could conceivably do one of these two deals and I really think the Lakers would listen to the first one

How dare you.

If I had it my way, I wouldn't deal KG and Pierce at all. BUT, if they're going to such a thing, I would rather have a big name or two rather than a bunch of role players.

As for dealing with the Lakers, that doesn't bother me at all and it shouldn't bother anyone else.

Even the players know it's a business, why can't the fans accept that?

I don't care about dealing with the Lakers, but we aren't sending our two most influential players of the last decade to them for a disgruntled, oft-injured "star" and a psychopath.

KG wants to go to LA. He does NOT want to go to the Lakers.

Hmmm...I think he would go to the Lakers and play with Kobe, that's just me.

I just think if you deal KG/Pierce, you should get your "money's worth." I take it you don't think DH and Metta is getting your money's worth (lol!)

What about either Josh Smith OR Bledsoe, Jordan and filler?

PS...I want to make it clear, I think we should go all in this year and not deal Paul or KG. I am just saying IF this happens.
