Great to get the W especially against the. Lakers. However, I'm not too psyched about all the blown-out-of-proportion "contenders" threads tomorrow...

after so many crappy games this year we deserve to enjoy this. hey if we get a big who can score and board do not tell me we cannot make noise.

That's a big IF and unlikely. I do agree tho. If we could somehow transform collins bass melo and or wilcox into a big that can score and board Id feel better about this team.

Denver/Bulls are the only two decent defensive teams for till March 1st. After that the schedule will test our offense a lot more.

Also post-allstar game road trip will also be a good test. Still shocking to me how poorly the Lakers played.

Reminds me of 2007, rationalizations by people to try and discredit what the Celtics are doing. It's quite curious isn't it, that when our team is playing good defense, suddenly everyone the team plays coincidentally plays poorly against us.

I'm not sure what the call out is for.

The C's are a very good defensive team, but the Lakers are also a good offensive team. And the Lakers got us in foul trouble quickly, but then they just showed no effort, hustle, or ball movement at all after the opening stages of the game.

The lakers +the refs.

I'm typically very sympathetic to refs but that was just messed up!

Great win.  Team looked terrific out there.

But the Lakers also looked listless and like they didn't want to be there (except for Kobe).  Really enjoying the ongoing implosion.

I didn't see the first bit of the quarter, I was just following the play by play on my phone.

By the time I got to a TV the C's were already outworking the Lakers by far.

I think that's just a consequence of what good defensive teams do to their opponents. The observations you're making are going to be a constant through a great percentage of games, particularly when our team is playing good defense.

I just find it reminiscent of 2007, that while everyone agreed that they were a good team, there was always a "but" that followed that proclamation. They're not playing that top teams, their opponents just had a bad shooting night, etc., etc.

There was always a "the real test comes next", and when that test was passed, a new "real test" came.

I want the Suns to get a top 3 pick with the Laker's ping pong balls sooooo badly.
