For all the hate Humphries gets I've always liked his game..plus he does something well that we don't do well
Humphries is a double-double threat when given minutes,
Stop here! When given minutes...well mentioned...Can U imagine how many minutes Doc might give to mr. Kardashian? See Wilcox and Collins etc.
Humphries would be a clear upgrade on either of those two, down season & all.
What do you mean UPGRADE if is gonna play 4-5 minutes/game?

He's not gonna be playing 4-5 minutes a game if that trade goes down. He's immediately a rotation guy on the Celtics.

Doc gave Bass 30+ minutes last season. I have no reason for Humphries not to get more than this, having in mind that: (a) he's a better player than Bass (b) we really have no other PFs

If we're giving up Bass to get him, he's pretty much an automatic starter with guaranteed 30+ minutes per game. He must be attainable, given his rotation status and contract, I just wonder if he can be had without giving up too much.

Im not sure I would throw in Jet with the way he's playing right now. But I love thebidea of a Bass-Humphries swap. If the Nets would be okaybwith future picks then im all for it.

I feel the same way. I'm expecting Terry to start being the Terry we were expecting 5 months ago which is a really good player. We're already starting to see it. As for the picks, it would in no way be worth adding a first, but a second I'd be down with. Don't know if that's enough for Brooklyn unfortunately.

I think I prefer Bass to Humphries.
There are similar in many ways, but Humphries is a considerably better rebounder and shot blocker -- and that's an area of need for us.

Hey I thought this was a really interesting and clever trade. I'm not thrilled about losing JET but I really like Watson. I know he has some decision making problems but I think he's a very good backup PG. I also think at 28 he's settled in to the idea of a bench role. He's never started consistently (around 17% of his games).
Humphries is an obvious upgrade over Bass in everything but mid-range shooting. It's not like we lack that right now.
I'd make this trade for sure. I'd also accept a Watson/Blatche swap. I think to get a capable big man we should offer Lee or Terry.

I like it but I doubt we could get C.J. Watson & doubt they would want Terry, but if we take Humphries heavy contract I would want some candy back in return for my troubles. Courtney Lee fits better for their corner & kick style in Bogans spot so I would do this.
Boston sends: Brandon Bass, Courtney Lee & Fab Melo
Boston receives: Kris Humphries, Andray Blatche & Marshon Brooks
Apparently Nets fans think that a similar combination can land them Garnett and Terry. Heh. http://thebrooklyngame.com/boston-celtics-brooklyn-nets-kevin-garnett-trade-speculation/
