 Stuckey and Greg Monroe.

A potential boom return for Monroe. Can build around Rondo, Andre Drummond, and maybe Sullinger. And either keep or trade Melo and Knight for a wing player. Plus throw in two picks and you have to think it over.

For the Celtics a chance to win a title with a totally different team. And a player like Monroe that can Board, Score and Pass it to Kevin would be awesome.

Just a thought to win one more title. I'm about the now.

  • You ain't the boss of the freakin' bedclothes.
Personally, I don't like it. Monroe is a nice piece, but he's a far cry from an elite player, and Im not sure his ceiling is there anymore. I had thought maybe it was, but he's taken a step back recently.

This team shouldn't be trading draft picks especially not two.

  • We may as well put Tyrion in at center.
Pistons aren't playoff contending anyway,so I'm down with this. A superstar like Rondo could really turn the direction of that franchise.

Monroe's ceiling is not very high, but he's already pretty good as is.

Good trade.Tp.

Why the Pistons would trade Monroe would be beyond me.

Why we would trade Rondo is also beyond me.

I don't think any pick after 2013 should be traded. But, if we moved this years' pick along with other non-Rondo pieces for actual building blocks, I don't think it's a bad move. Would you trade Pierce and a 1st for Richard Jefferson and Harrison Barnes? KG/pick for K mart, Lamb, Jones, and the Toronto pick?

I could see a trade that worked out.

Although again, not in favor of trading Pierce necessarily, just saying, if it did happen,

I'm curious about why all of the people proposing these trades didn't push trading PP or KG for Greg Oden when he blew out his knee.

If its lottery protected I can see trading this years pick for a young piece. But trading multiple picks is a no no in my book unless we are getting a guy with all star potential. Monroe is solid talent but I fear he's a finesse center who will always be a liability on D.

Personally, I think that if Joe Dumars traded Greg Monroe for an injured Rajon Rondo a few weeks after sending Tayshaun Prince out of town, he'd be killed by remaining Pistons fans. I'm not joking.

especially after paying stuckey and drafting knight.

I'm not convinced that Monroe will work next to Drummond though so I think it'd be an upgrade for their future especially with all the other assets along with it. Detroit would have to say yes unless they really think Knight is going to figure it out.

Pistons fans I know don't pronounce the "T" in Rodney's last name. If Dumars cuts him next week and saves money doing it, they wouldn't bat an eyelash.

They love Moose. The jury is still out on Knight, but I think they are prepared to give him the benefit of the doubt.

I agree about Monroe. But this years' pick I feel like top 7 protection is enough maybe, surely top 10.

We should not be giving up draft draft picks unless we are getting a bonafied superstar, and Greg Monroe isn't one them.

Also, I see Sully will be able to produce Greg Monroe like numbers when giving more PT. Only difference being is Monroe is taller.

Detroit would do this deal in a heartbeat. Monroe is a very good player, but IMO this is a bad deal for us, especially with the 2 picks involved. And Rondo when healthy is more valueable than that return

Why the Pistons would trade Monroe would be beyond me.

Why we would trade Rondo is also beyond me.

Because some people doesnt like him, no matter what he does.

What do people have against Greg Monroe? It's like hating panera bread for always being 'pretty good'.
