Tommy is completely right about this.

Towards the end of the 3rd quarter we switched from the fast paced ball movement to a slow paced high pick and roll offense. If this offense didn't work with Rondo, why would it work with the same group of guys and Pierce running it?

How did Doc not see that it wasn't working?

Kind of baffled by this, it happened two games in a row. Why do we move away from what's working?

Anyway, great, yet very scary win today.

Plain & simple: Doc is a "turrible" coach.

But, I do still admire how the Cs play without Rondo, even if we might just had luck in the past games. The flow defensively & offensively is much better and more entertaining.
Jameer an elite PG?Please, ask that to his garbage highlights.

  • Rondo doesn't believe in easy buckets...
We switched because the team wasn't getting stops or rebounds.

We couldn't run off of made baskets.

Exactly, the fast paced offense of the first half came from forcing turnovers and looking ahead. Can't look ahead when the defense is standing down there watching you inbound.

Doc was trying to slow down the clippers from running like crazy , which they did. Our defense was getting a little gassed.

You need Barbosa out there if you want to keep running, but Doc felt Barbosa would just be too out of control against the starting clippers squad. A few barbosa out of control or misses and suddenly the games out of control. With the high pick and roll the celts forgot to drive to the top of the free throw line for easy jumpers. Pierce passes to lee and just stayed around the top of key. Not enough passes to bass near the FT line
