Game day is finally upon us.

Thoughts? Predictions? Analysis?

Niners 24 Ravens 20

I expect a tight one and lower scoring than most pundits are predicting.  I just think, in the end, Niners D is a little bit better and they'll be able to grind it out on the ground in the end.

Tough to be going against a team that has been catching all the breaks (ala destiny) like Baltimore, though.

Not really too concered with who wins, I just don't have any strong dislike of either team.

Hopefully this will be an exciting game.  And hopefully my squares come up.  I have (SF-7/Bal-6)(SF-4/Bal-9)//(SF-2/Bal-3)(SF-3/Bal-0).

My predictions:
1st qtr: 7-6 SF
Halftime: 14-9 SF
3rd qtr: 17-16 SF
Final: 30-23 Bal

Gimme that MONEY!!!

I don't really have any thoughts.  I just got back from New Orleans a couple days ago, though. I was out there filming some behind the scenes stuff at the Superdome for my company.  It was pretty crazy over there.  I got to tour the stadium and also shoot some stuff at the media center.  Had a ton of fun.

I posted while I was there that I was in a quiet little dive bar from the 1700s at like 2 in the morning and the only other people there were Bill Simmons, Rembert and a few of their friends (possibly also Grantland employees).  I introduced myself to Simmons (I'm a huge fan)... shook his hand and told him I was a Celtic fanatic as well.  He said, "We've had a rough week"... they were on their way out, unfortunately.  I asked if I could get a picture with him (since I happened to have a camera on me) and he said, "I'm not supposed to be here".  Not sure what he meant by that since the fact he was in Nawlins was all over his twitter feed.  Oh well.

I made up for it (sort of) a night later by going into a little jazz club on Frenchmen Street.  I was told that's where the locals go (outside of the French Quarter)... Great music.  Then I spotted Neil Patrick Harris.  Introduced myself to NPH, talked to him briefly and asked for a pic.  He was super friendly and agreed.  Unfortunately, my coworker took the pic and it came out terrible.  Hah.  Andrew Luck happened to be at the same club.  I would have talked to him, but I don't know crap about the NFL.  I didnt' even recognize him until my coworker pointed him out.  So basically, I spent all night dancing on the dance floor with Andrew Luck and Neil Patrick Harris.  Fun times.

Here's some random pics I took.

I have so little rooting interest in this game.  Someone please give me a reason to like or dislike one of these teams.  I tend to dislike the whole Ray Lewis thing, but also dislike Jim Harbaugh and Kaepernick has not appealed to me in interviews.

I suppose I can just root for a good game. I find the pomp of the Superbowl irritating.  Haven't watched a halftime in years.  The commercials don't usually do much for me.

Maybe I'll read Grisham instead.

Reason to like the Niners if you're a Pats fan... Randy Moss.

I like the Niners in this game for that reason, as well as the fact that I have family from the area that are huge Niners fans

Moss isn't a plus for me.  He had a great season with the Pats, but that season ended in the biggest disappointment of all time (other than the '87 and 2010 Celts).  Seeing Moss is just a painful reminder.

Are those tears Ray Lewis? That settles it, I'm rooting for the 49ers.

Ravens pocket breaking down frequently in that drive.  Not a good sign for them.
