This season

Terry trade
http://espn.go.com/nba/tradeMachine?tradeId=a2q9eth

Offseason

Rondo Trade (if bobcats get #1)
http://espn.go.com/nba/tradeMachine?tradeId=a23z244
Celtics get Sessions, Thomas, 2013 #1pick, 2014 1st
Bobcats get Rondo, Bass

Celtics gain a point guard to add to AB and Lee rotation. Thomas becomes a reclimation project or buyout canidate. The 2013 pick becomes Noels. The celtics used their own 2013 pick on either Marcus Smart or Carter Williams with hope they deveopl into starting nba point.

Bobcats get their franchise player in Rondo, they can then trade Kemba to fill there starting PF and or SG needs. Bass becomes their 6th/7th man.

Then if KG and PP decide to retire

Pierce trade (Detriot then buys out PP)
http://espn.go.com/nba/tradeMachine?tradeId=agdyofs
Celtics get Stucky, Villanueva and 1st rd pick
Detriot gets Pierce (buyout saves them around 11mill)

With this trade the Cs can then replace sessions with Stucky and trade Sessions to a team in need of a PG (pacers?)

2013-2014 Roster
This group will not win alot but will gain experience and leave us with two decent if not great picks in a strong draft.
PG Stucky
SG Avery
SF Green
PF Sully
C  Noel
Lee
Villanueva
M Smart/ Carter-Williams
Sessions (to be traded)
Thomas (if not bought out)
Melo

2014-2015
2014 is projected as a very strong draft with two potential franchise players in Wiggins and Parker. Stucky, Villanueza both come off the books. Leaving the Cs with Jeff Green, Courtney Lee and a great group of young talent.

Best Case with this plan

2014 Cs land Wiggins or Parker

2013 Cs land Noels and he show camby like talent as a rookie

2013 Cs land Carter-Williams or Marcus Smary , if either player pans out giving they Cs size at point next to AB

Sully comes back healthy and develops into a 15pt 10rb guy

Melo becomes a solid rotational player

Pg Carter-Williams (lengthy destibuting PG)
sg Avery ( all NBA perimenter defender)
SF Parker (elite scorer)
PF Sully (elite rebounder)
C  Noels (elite shot blocker / help defender)

Pipe dream but one can hope

I think all of us would like a team centered around Noel and Wiggins/Parker going forward.  A few quibbles, though:

1.  I don't think Charlotte would trade the #1 pick for an injured Rondo, let alone two #1 picks.

2.  Plus, doesn't Charlotte owe a future #1 pick to Detroit?  I think that will preclude them from dealing a 2014 #1.

3.  Even if we finish with the worst record in the NBA, the odds are against us landing a top-2 pick.

It's fun to think about, but "pipe dream" probably isn't so far off.

I don't think it's unreasonable to think the bobcats give up two firsts for rondo and a chance to get rid of Thomas . I agree the wiggin/Parker part is a long shop but I don't feel the Noel part is.

This is the dream scenario. If we somehow landed Wiggins and Noel, I don't care who we lost along the way if it turned out that way. Too bad we live in the real world.

A deal centered around Rondo for Charlottes 1st (Noel) would be good by me. I still don't believe a Star PG is the path to a championship, even in this PG centered league (big men win championships). Even Lebron didn't win a title until he moved to PF.

No Pierce or KG trade. Definitely look into a Rondo, Terry and Bass deals.
Jameer an elite PG?Please, ask that to his garbage highlights.

PAUL PIERCE, NO!

Love it or hate it the Rumored KG to the Clippers for Bledsoe and Butler trade would push my above mentioned plan further along by already putting in place a Rondo replacement at PG.

Also If the Bobcats dont get the #1 pick and the Magic do a Turkaglue + Noel + future pick of young player for Rondo deal also works.

This would leave the magic with the $$ to offer J Smith a max deal, and possibly trade nelson and BBD to Indy for Granger.

Rondo
Afflalo
Granger
Smith
Vucevic

not a bad starting 5 for the magic.
