The Heat are 0-2 against the Knicks, 0-1 against the Bulls, and 0-2 against the Pacers.
Pierce/Green can slow down Bron, AB can slow down Wade and KG can slow down Bosh...i think our supporting cast after that is better than their's
i think we may have more match-up problems with the Knicks and Bulls...but will only probably play one of them...

I would be feeling really good right now about Boston's chances of knocking Miami off if Rajon Rondo and Jared Sullinger where still healthy and available.
Without them though ... Miami are vulnerable but they are not that vulnerable. Boston don't have the horses to knock them off in a 7 game series.

i understand. but i dont think the celtics would get much at all in return for pierce and KG now. i would rather the celtics take one last fling at the ring. a 5% of winning this year is better than starting the rebuild one year sooner, especially with a thin and weak draft predicted for 2013. i dont think much is gained by an immediate blow up. many people may believe that ainge can get great assets for the current players, but that does not seem to be accurate. the rebuild will come soon enough. this team could beat miami in a 7 game series, not a likely event, but not preposterous either.

Agree with OP.
1. The Heat BARELY beat us last year. After two full years together that threesome of superstar vet players BARELY beat us.
True, they walked over a good Thunder team and were playing very well at that point. (As an aside, I actually think the refs set a horrible tone in that series by treating Durant like a rookie in the first couple of games and letting Lebron do whatever he wanted, and if those teams meet again I expect more balanced officiating and a harder road for the Heat.)
2. Repeating is hard, period.
3. Why should we consider the Heat a dynasty after only one title?
4. Does the way Lebron and Wade are officiated, and the way ESPN has annointed them, add an unwarranted aura of invincibility to the Heat. (answer = yes)
5. injuries, major and minor, do happen and do cause havoc for teams.

CelticsBlog's reaction to anything positive being said about the team.

I still like our chances we are more athletic our perimeter defense is better, as a result those guys wont kill us from the three like they did last year. Green/Bradley/Lee and even Barbosa can be weapons against them. The Jet is a Heat killer in the playoffs.

Its true that the heat can be beat by the right team. I don't think the celtics are that team. With rondo maybe without him no chance. Unless pierce turns back the clock and matches lebron when he goes off.

Timing is everything. If Danny gets the right deal(s) he'll make them, if not now then summer is coming. Between now and then let's keep going. You never know what might happen.

We might as well put Tyrion in at center.

The Heat are better this year, and the Celtics (now) are worse than last year.

With the 16th pick of the 2013 NBA Draft, the Boston Celtics select Daenerys Targaryen (and her 3 dragons + 8000 Unsullied) from the continent of Essos!

We don't have enough star power to be serious contenders. We have a bunch of role players that are playing really well right now. That's all good and everything but role players don't win championships.

The Heat are vulnerable...Yes they are. The celtics are in the hunt...not even close. Someone else may take out the Heat, like OKC, Golden State, NY, LAC, but not us.

i would bet on KG and pierce beating the heat over the likes of westbrook or curry... okc took the heat to 5 games pathetically celtics took the heat to 3-2 and 7 games
