Two solid jabs to deter our path to our championship, nothing more.

  • It's what I do! It's who I am!
if you thought Sully was slow and not athletic before , just imagine what he will be like after the surgery. His only role in the NBA is to be a banger, doubt he has a very long career after this....

I think I'll wait till I hear the nature of the surgery and the recovery prognosis before drifting into 'career over' depression over this.   Maybe this is an OK in the long run thing.  Yes, I doubt it too.

Unfortunately, we are still too talented to fall to top 5 in the draft unless we go full blow-up fast.   If Rondo and Sully can both come back 100% they are 2 very good pieces.  Of course, they are now lost as trade chips.

Another really sad Celtics day.   I would think that Danny's mindset would have to be completely changed by this.  It's now about trading for tomorrow.

Hopefully this was going to happen eventually, and once it did he gets surgery and is fixed.

I've come to the conclusion that since 2009, God hates the Celtics.
Still don't believe in Joe.

... and two solid jabs that hopefully won't affect our rebuilding going forward.  Rondo and Sully are presumably big parts of our hoped for future, and I don't want either to be limited.

[dang]. I'm not surprised. But [dang]. That's a hit.

I met him on Tuesday, the day before he left the Sac game with the injury, at a charity signing, talked to him for a bit, complemented his game, called him a future all sar, blah blah great season blah blah.

I took a picture with him, and asked if I could post up on him for the picture, and he obliged.

I'm sorry guys, I can't help but feel as if this is my fault.

Yeah, your unorthodox post technique clearly caused him to contort into an awkward position, damaging his back.

But you're absolved, assuming you didn't do the same thing to Rondo last week.

If I did, I just would not meet players anymore. Avoid the bad juju.

This has been a bad couple of weeks for Boston sports fans.

Even all of this A-Rod news is failing to raise my mood.

I am going to start a petition to change the name of the Celtics. Lucky (our mascot) is far from what our team should be described as. If we have any promising young players, something always happens to them. This sucks, I'm more stung by this one than Rondo going down.

Ugh

This roster wasn't built to depend on a rookie for success. It was nice that he played good for us, but we'll be fine.

More worried about our depth than missing Sully specifically for our playoff run.

Two roster spots open, a big needs to fill at least one of them, careful if we don't use the remaining two, though I still contend we need a third SF to fill our roster appropriately.

We'll see.

With no Sully, Bass is a better fit with the rest of the roster... same as Sully was a better fit without Bass in it.

This seriously sucks.
I promise I want to know what in the heck did the Celtics do to keep having players fall like this.
It's like they don't want this team to get banner 18 or something because every year since banner 17 a player or two has fallen due to injury.

I wish Sully the best and hope he can overcome this.

Edited.  Profanity and masked profanity are against forum rules and may result in discipline.! ! now I am upset.
Stay classy, San Diego. Hello, Baxter? Baxter, is that you? Bark twice if you're in Milwaukee. Is this Wilt Chamberlain? Have the decency to say something.
