With the news that Sully is out for the rest of the season, I think this is the perfect opportunity for Jeff Green to come out and prove his value.

Losing Sully means we only have Bass (who's struggling) and Wilcox (who's injury prone) at the PF spot, so I expect Jeff Green's minutes to take a jump as he's asked to fill in more minutes at the 4 spot.

As much as we all hate to see Sully go down after how well he was playing, it may be better for it to happen now rather than earlier in the season, as Jeff has actually been playing pretty nicely lately.

In January Jeff Green (per 36 minutes) is averaging 14 points and 4.8 rebounds which are pretty much average for his career, but the big diffeence is that he's shooting 49% from the field, 35% from three and 81% from the line over 15 games in January, and he has been playing some iimpressive defense as well over that stretch.

To put things into perspecive he shot 42% from the field / 29% from three in November, and 41% from the field / 32% from three in December.

It could be that Jeff is finally starting to get comfortable in our system and get his conditioning back, and if that's the case now might be the best time ever for him to get an increase in minutes.

Looking at our most effective lineups in terms of +/- goes, the majority of those lineups contain Jeff Green.

Time for Jeff to show us what he's made of!
