Misleading thread title. Looks more like news that rumor.
Anyway, he's a project. Dont think he is worth it with Melo being molded for the center role.
He's been in the league for 2.5 years now, never warranting more than 5-6 minutes a game. That's not a "project" type of player, it's a "no NBA skills" one.
He's better than Collins.
No, he's not. And that's quite telling.
He is, I promise.

How about, he's slightly better than Collins offensively?

That's pretty much coach-speak for "other than being 7'2, he's completely useless".

Intriguing third string center but not a solution to Boston's backup center problems.

I think he is. Vastly superior rebounder and shot-blocker, and even less foul-prone this year.

We are probably the fastest team in the league
L O L We are no where near the fastest team in the league. I guess in a relay we'd do okay at guard. Rondo/AB/Lee/LB are all quick guys. It doesn't matter though because the way we play is slow.

Are there faster teams than us? KG has to be one of the fastest centers. Same with Wilcox. Rondo, Lee, Bradley, Barbosa are arguably top 15 fastest guys in the league. What makes you think we are slow? Oh we play slow? So if we play slow what would it matter if we picked up Haddadi? I hate stupid arguments that we are old (we aren't) and that we are slow (we aren't)

Sign Haddadi.
No Sullinger. Out for season. Team needs another big man.
Wilcox (20mpg starter) and Bass (25mpg reserve) to man the four spot. Garnett (28mpg) and Haddadi (20mpg) to take the five. Collins to play as a defensive option third string center. Jeff Green to double up as third string PF.
