Zeller should be over Sully, but Sully still should have made it. :(

If you're putting Zeller and Shved on the team, who are you booting to make room for Sully?

Dion Waiters. -.-

Waiters has been more productive than Zeller, and is shooting almost as well as Zeller despite being a guard.  In fact, Waiters has a higher eFG% than the much taller Zeller.

That's stupid.  I'd like to think Chuck and Shaq love the kid because he's a guys who likes to bang and play in the paint.

Chuck and Shaq choose the teams they play on,  not players to play.

The few times I watched him, he screws up Irving by chucking so much!

Seems more to me like a "Popularity" issue.

No doubt in my mind that Jared Sullinger has earned a spot in this thing - BUT:

He hustles...he gets down and dirty...he's smart - just as smart (if not smarter) than any other player on that list.

So..because he doesn't jump out of a gym he's not as....."exciting"....as some of those other players.

Just my two cents.

All I know is that Jared, as a rookie, has helped BOS already this season, and doesn't even play like a rookie.

Whoever did the choosing here is just off.

Jared ... doesn't even play like a rookie.

So unrookielike that they thought he wasn't eligible!

LOL...yeah, that's it - I hope.

But I bet the unofficial word is that he's not "Highlight" material.

Well, I know he's loved in BOS.

Really?  Sully's going to be more valuable than Drummond?

He's already as smart (if not smarter) than Drummond or any other rook from this class.

Mind you - I haven't watched every single rookie this yr, but Jared Sullinger just makes plays...gets in the right spots...hustles...unlike any other rookie I've seen in quite a while...

Drummond is using his sheer size and immense athleticism this year...Jared has none of that, but could play a bit longer than someone like Drummond.

No offense to Drummond, though - I really like him as a player.

But in Jared's case if you're smart and know the game and your limitations, you can have a prosperous career in the NBA. Jared can/will do that, I believe.

I'd have liked to see Sullinger in there, and I think Waiters and Zeller are both iffy.

BUT the guy who really got snubbed here is Andrew Nicholson from the Magic.

I just realized how they picked the team- they literally selected the 9 rookies who have scored the most points so far, minus Kyle Singler (begging the question- what have they got against Kyle Singler?)

So obviously Waiters and Zeller are on that team because of volume and not because of efficiency.

(too bad they didn't look at rebounds, Jared Sullinger is #2)

Good point.

I wonder what criteria they use for the choosing? And who does the choosing?

Barnes, Shved, Waiters and Zeller have all sucked this year.  The first three are in by default, since this draft has had few immediate contributors and nobody has outplayed them at their positions.

Zeller has no such excuse.  He's an inefficient scorer, a poor rebounder, a nonfactor on defense, and he's soft.  Sullinger should have had that spot.  I even think Henson has arguably played better than Zeller.

Overall, though, this has been a pretty unremarkable rookie class.

Wasn't there people saying this was going to be one of the best classes in a long time? Wonder what happened...
