Chicago assets:

Bobcats protected pick
Their own pick

Houston assets:

Mavs top 20 protected
Raptors top 3 protected
Bobcats 2nd rounder

Trade KG to Bulls for Hinrich, Hamilton, Marquise Teague, and filler.  Get one or two picks out of Chicago.

Trade Pierce to Houston for Delfino, Aldrich, Patterson, and Morris, plus one more for filler.  Try to get that Raptors pick at the very least.  That Bobcats 2nd rounder would be nice too.

You arent getting any of Houston or Chicagos key players so they will still be good teams adding a really good veteran for a playoff run.  Do they want to give up young players and draft picks for two year rentals?

The reasons I brought these up:

1. Chicago could part with Hinrich because Rose is coming back.  Adding KG to their core without giving up much should make them top contender in the East to Miami.

2. KG knows Thibadou and his defense

3. Pierce may not know McHale that well, but playing for another Celtic and a friend of Ainge's might work.  He certainly would get more open looks playing with Harden.

4.  Boston won't likely get a top young player in any PP or KG trade.  If they could get back filler from both teams but add decent picks, Ainge may be able to take 3 good draft picks along with Bass, Lee, Green, Bradley and turn them into 2 or 3 good young players to put with Rondo.

One thing to note:  We'd have to have roster space for all of those players.  You're not allowed to have more than 15 guys on your roster at any time during the season, even if your immediate plan is to cut them.

Yeah, not sure if you can make it work.  You would have to cut Wilcox and Collins to get down to 11, then trade one guy for 5.  That puts you at 15, then you would have to waive 4 from the Bulls trade, just so you could trade one more guy (Pierce) for 5 more from Houston.

A more resonable idea would be trade Pierce to the Warriors for Jefferson, Rush, and Barnes.  You would then have to waive Jefferson and Rush and eat the remaining 2 years on the deals, plus waive Wilcox and Collins to get down to 11 and pull off the KG trade.

Not bad ideas. I think Chicago needs to move someone else because they'll need a solid 2 guard. Pierce to the Bulls would be interesting, give them KG and Pierce for Deng, boozer, Butler and that lottery pick.

Few throw ins to make the money work. Sign a free agent PF like Smith and trade for another big.
Come back next year:
Rondo
Bradley
Deng
Smith
Gortat

And a lottery pick with boozer near the end of his deal with butler both coming off the.bench

"Game 4: 4 minutes 28 seconds 87-81
Game 5:2 minutes 28 seconds 84-81
These are scores in the 4th period and time left in Games 4 and 5 in 2011 versus the Heat. The Celtics were ahead in both games and Rondo was hurt, playing with one arm."  -Pearl 131  So close, yet so far.

The Rockets traded the Raptors pick in the Harden trade.

I can't see a trade that makes any sense for Houston taking on Pierce. They don't have the salary. Rondo would've made great sense, because Lin would've been coming back. But Pierce, I don't see it.
