Bargs is awful, can't even get his team to sniff a playoff spot.

Fields has been terrible the past two years.

Lowry is overrated.

  • You ain't the boss of the freakin' bedclothes.
I maintain that Lowry here would be a breath of fresh air. He's not Rondo, but when he's playing inspired ball, he's only a tier down from Chris Paul and past Deron Williams. The guy is a bulldog, made flesh. Capable of the best on ball defense from a point in the NBA, fearless seeking out contact, and an acceptable 3pt shooter.

But big picture vs small, he's not worth giving up real future assets for what will ultimately be a half season rental.

"You've gotta respect a 15-percent 3-point shooter. A guy
like that is always lethal." - Evan 'The God' Turner

Yes. Look at all the big games he had in the playoffs, figure out which of Bradley/Lee/Terry/Green/Bass/Sully you expect to have games like that on a regular basis in the playoffs this year and get back to me.

Well, if you really want to have that debate, I'd be happy to.

1.) Did Rondo ever singlehandely bring the Celtics to a championship?

Last year in the ECF, he scored 44 pts in game 2 and the Celtics still lost

2.) This year, WITH Rondo before his injury, the Celtics were 3 games UNDER 500.

3.)And to answer your question, I expect MOST of those guys you mentioned to step up in Rondo's absence.

I know the NBA is viewed as a one man show, but last time I checked, there's 5 guys on the floor, not just one.

It would have been simpler to type "none of them". Rondo's frequently the best player on the court in the playoffs, I'm assuming when you say they'll step up you're aiming significantly lower. Unless you're actually expecting those players to dominate playoff games for stretches on a fairly regular basis, in which case I wish I had your optimism.
