"Rajon will get surgery in 10 to 14 days, when the swelling is right and we anticipate that he'll back and as good as ever in training camp," Ainge said.

He also says he doesn't expect any major moves, they will see how things go the next few weeks.

This was my assumption on the time table for his return as well. Should be no reason why it cant happen based on the way other have recovered from the same injury.

I also believe that Rondo will be back by training camp.  I shredded my ACL and tore my meniscus playing a couple of years ago playing basketball and, similar to Rondo, continued to play on it on the game that I injured it.  This happened in early February and I was back playing ball by August.  I was not back to 100 percent, gowever, until about october.  Given the fact that Rondo is a far better athlete than myself, I would expect him back by September/October.  Thus, I can't agree with the Magic  Johnsons of the world that say he will miss half of next season.

I've actually heard that partial acl tears are the ones that hurt the most while complete tears aren't that painful, which makes me think Rondo has a complete tear.
