Just a heads up if anyone wants to hear. He's probably the best insider in the league.

-Woj say the c's are likely one and done if they make the playoffs

- Said Danny Ainge gave Bradley a pep talk after the game and told him how his role will expand

- Says the C's don't have anything realistic to give up for redick. Orlando wants young player and draft picks, but Boston will not do that

-Said Danny told him , picks are hard to come by so doesnt want to give them up.

- Said Lowry is not a solution, he creates problems everywhere he goes

Figured Avery would play more of a bring it up the floor than give it to pierce kind of thing. But the Celtics need him to start going to the rim.

- Says it's possible kg and pp could be traded , but doesn't think they would get the return they would want. The owners aren't going to give them away when they can make the playoffs and sell out at least 2 home games and the rest of the season

- Woj on the Pau,Gay ,PP trade rumor. Would be a lot of money for boston to take on when you can just cut PP next year and clear cap space. Doesn't think it has any chance of happening.

Agree with the last point. The Pau gambit was already a risky proposition, now it looks downright pointless to me.

Interesting about Lowry being a troublemaker. I hadn't heard that before.

Man, next year is going to be hard to swallow. KG and Paul will be gone (some combination of retired, traded or waived), Rondo will be recovering, and we will still be locked into Terry and Bass for a few more years. Green and Lee I can at least get excited about possible, albeit unlikely, growth, but getting rid of Terry and Bass has to be priority #1. I suppose Bradley, Sully, Melo and this draft pick is enough to get excited about, but this is a huge bummer.

Thanks for the report—TP. Didn't know that about Lowry.

He and Lee were going to the rim so much in that Heat game, it was amazing. Even the commentators were surprised. I hope they keep doing it, because when they do: chances are they get fouled or make an easy shot.

I really think the Lee/Bradley duo has a chance to come into its own in the next month or so.  Too bad that money is a factor in getting what they can for their living museum pieces (KG and PP), but I'm okay with them staying here and helping in the biggest side benefit of the Rondo injury:

Some of Danny's interim (that is not core) assets may be showcased to the value of their contract or beyond.  JET, Green, Bradley, Barbosa and Lee are the obvious beneficiaries.  The one big challenge could be pumping up Bass so that he's tradeable.  Without any kind of evidence, I get the idea that he's surly about his diminished role, and of course he's overpriced for it.

A good gritty run could reinstill some core Celtics values and set the young guys on a better path.  It could also make a couple of them more tradeable.

We've lost the option of trading Rondo right now, but so be it.  What's here and enduring about the team could mature in his absence.
