Just finished the Sopranos, and man this was something special. What a great story, absolutely fantastic series. So now I'm falling in a deep dark hole and I need another series to watch to get over Rajon Rondo's torn ACL ;) Thinking about Breaking Bad or The Wire. Any suggestions???

I've already seen:
- Game of Thrones
- Prisonbreak
- Heroes
- Supernatural
- Lost
- Band of Brothers / Pacific

Thanks!

You should definitely see Breaking Bad. It's awesome. As is Dexter.

Homeland and The Walking Dead are pretty good too.

I thought Sopranos was the best thing out there, until I watched The Wire. It might be a bit confusing for the first two or three episodes, but give it a shot.

yeah exactly I watched four episodes of the Wire, then I got remembered to watch the Sopranos, did that and never stopped. But I'll give The Wire another shot someday! Just hope I get so in touch with the characters as in The Sopranos where all dialoagues are just hilarious. It's like a 6 seasons pulp fiction

The Wire>>Breaking Bad (and everything else)

But, Justified is I think the most fun 'gritty' show on right now. I could wax philosophical about how much I love that show for hours.

If you like watching people curse like sailors and beat the crap out of each other (as does every red-blooded American), and you enjoy complex morally ambiguous characters, HBO's Deadwood is a personal favorite for me.

HBO's Rome is pretty awesome also, especially in the first season.

My friends love Spartacus, personally I think its over-done and stupid.

Ummm...

Community is funnier than anything out there, and its about to come 'back on' in Feb, all 3 seasons are available on Hulu.

If you dig legal drams. Suits.

If yoy dig reality TV and action. WWE shows.

But Breaking Bad is great TV, as everyone else mentioned already.

The First Three Seasons of the West Wing before all of the above.

Don't listen to crazy people, its not better than The Wire. When people get all giddy about Homeland or Breaking Bad, they're actually just remembering what it felt like to watch The Wire.

Season 3 of The West Wing is better than any season of TV ever. That includes all 14 episodes of Firefly, which the OP should watch.

Why not start another old awesome HBO show, Six Feet Under?

SOA and Breaking Bad are good.

Shorter shows like Wilfred, Girls and Louie are fun and entertaining.
