As Green's professed admirer, I didn't even think he had a good game today until I read all your posts. :\

Green's offense was okay, his rebounding was terrible, but his defense on LeBron all game, making Bron work for his points (not that you could tell from LeBron's stat line), that was super encouraging. The sustained work on defense, very impressive.

How was his rebounding terrible?

I think he only had about 4 rebounds, but he fought hard for a few of those and really battled. If he always rebounded with the aggression that he did today I'd be thrilled.

He had 4 boards in 40 minutes. That's pretty terrible.

Well he is a bench player, playing the small forward position

LeBron was sleep walking and still had the stat line he had.

Wow didn't know this was a Heat thread

I think he spent the majority of the game at the 4, as did LeBron. Could be wrong though.

I thought, while it took him a while to get going, his defense on LeBron in the latter part of the 2011 playoffs was pretty good.

Yeah, Amare was not and is not a great rebounder. Not as bad as Green, but not very good either. Although I don't think Amare could've D'd up Lebron on his best day.

re: Green's poor rebounding numbers, keep in mind he was sticking close to LeBron all game long. That kept him away from some rebounds. Don't get me wrong, that is an area of his game he needs to improve, but I'm not shocked or too upset about him not having that many boards today.

His defense when LeBron was isolated was better than he's shown all year, but Green still struggles massively when he gets screened. He just doesn't fight through it 9 times out of 10
