Celtics now concerned Rondo may have ACL injury. If so, many questions about what path to take this season get answered.

If true, that's unfortunate. Every single year we have major injuries!

A Delonte West signing perhaps?

I remember Leon Powe tried to play on a torn ACL as well.

Some people can still walk and move despite the injury.  I don't know why - maybe it's pain tolerance, or maybe their bodies just react differently to the injury.  But it's not impossible that Rondo could have done significant damage and still managed to walk on it.

Probably a sprained MCL or something like that.

Sources close to Rajon Rondo tells Y! Sports that Celtics are still waiting on examination concerning a possible ACL injury.

Yeah this is real. Wow.

Sounds like it's more than just a Twitter Hoax.

Perhaps he just sprained his ACL or something like that, but regardless, this is dire news.

If the worst case scenario is true and he tore his ACL, you can pretty much kiss the season goodbye.  Time to tank for a lottery pick.

Man I was about to say how lucky we've been regarding injuries this year, especially relative to all the crap we've been through since 2009.  Even if we might not have a strong playoff run this year, this injury would be beyond devastating.

Two Celtics sources tell Y! that team's awaiting Rondo's MRI results on injured knee. He's currently at New England Baptist Hospital.

So basically...they know nothing.

I expect it probably is torn.

That has been the Celtics luck over the last few years.  When you think it can't get any worse, it does.

Yeah, the reports add up to:

1.  The team doesn't know what's going on with Rondo, because they haven't gotten his MRI results back yet; but

2. They're worried it's the ACL.

This. I hate using the injury excuse but I promise this team has bad luck when dealing with injuries.
They haven't been fully healthy since the 08 run.
