Doc needs to make Pierce simply another weapon on this team, and take away the "star player" treatment.
Pierce is still 12th in the league in usage percentage, meaning a lot of Boston's plays are run through him. Mostly when he's standing out beyond the 3-pt line.
Doc needs Pierce to slide back a bit and become a talented role player (even in starter's minutes). He's still the captain, he's still the truth, but...
This team is so much more dangerous when the ball is moving through everyone's hands and anyone can potentially score.
I know we all know this, but it is evident again today.
